SCREW PITCH GAUGE

A screw pitch gauge is a tool used to measure the pitch or thread density of screws and bolts. It typically includes a set of blades or leaves with various thread profiles that can be used to determine the pitch of a given screw. Screw pitch can be measured in both millimeters (mm) and inches (inches), so the gauge often provides measurements in both units.

Description

To use a screw pitch gauge
  • Select the blade or leaf with a thread profile that closely matches the screw you want to measure.
  • Place the selected blade or leaf against the threads of the screw, ensuring it aligns properly.
  • Observe which thread profile aligns perfectly with the screw’s threads. The number or label on the blade or leaf that matches indicates the pitch of the screw.
  • The pitch measurement will be displayed in both millimeters and inches on the gauge, making it easy to determine the thread pitch of the screw or bolt you’re working with in your preferred measurement system.
