The knurling process involves pressing spare knurls against a rotating workpiece, typically a metal rod or tube. Types of Spare Knurls
- Straight Knurls : These create straight, parallel ridges and are commonly used for enhancing grip or creating decorative designs.
- Diamond Knurls/ Male Type : Diamond knurls create a diamond-shaped pattern and are often used for decorative or indexing purposes.
- Checkered Knurls / Female Type : Female type Diamond knurls are also known as Checkered Knurls.
